What I miss

Today was the first day of the orchestral class in WWU. We played in rehearsal room, Beethoven Symphony 7th with first sight. Actidentially, a local orchestra which I and my friends organized in Japan picked the same piece in a concert a few weeks ago. Because I'm enough adult, I don't miss my family, though, I have missed only three things since I came the US 9 months ago. The first is my friends, especially some I made much efforts to establish the local orchestra "Sumizome Symphony Orchestra" in Kyoto, Fushimi. Next is Sake. I used to drink overnight with my close friends every weekend. Unfortunately, I can't any decent Sake in Bellingham (I wish to bring some from Vancouver over boarder...). The last is comic magazines in Japan. I love Japanese cartoon. Whatever, I might begin this b-log with topics above since the next week.

Hi Nobu,
Thanks for that first post -- you included some really interesting details. I've tried sake once -- in Boston, and I liked it, but I don't know if it was a good one! I'm sure you could find some in Vancouver -- it's a very international city. Welcome to the U.S. and welcome to our class -- I'm glad to have you in it!
